A Fast is for how you see.
God confronts those who fast
They come to the temple every day and seem delighted to learn all about me.
They act like a righteous nation that would never abandon the laws of its God. They asked me to take action on their behalf, pretending they want to be near me.
"We have fasted before you!" They say. "Why aren't you impressed? We have been very hard on ourselves and you don't even notice it!"
"I will tell you why!" I responded. " It's because you are fasting to please yourselves. Even while you fast, you keep oppressing your workers!
What good is fasting when you keep on fighting and quarrelling? This kind of fasting will never get you anywhere with me!
You humble yourselves by going through the motions of penance, bowing your heads like reeds, bending in the wind. You dress in burlap and cover yourselves with ashes.
Is this what you call fasting?
Do you really think this will please the Lord?
*** No, this is the kind of fasting I want:***
Free those who are wrongly imprisoned;
Lighten the burden of those who work for you.
Let the oppressed go free and remove the chains that bind people.
Share your food with the hungry. And give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them. And do not hide from relatives who need your help.
Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal, and your Godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the Lord will protect you from behind. Then when you call, the Lord will answer.
"Yes, I am here." He will quickly reply!
Remove the heavy yoke of oppression. Stop pointing your finger and spreading vicious rumors. Feed the hungry and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.
The Lord will guide you continually. Giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well watered garden like an ever flowing spring!
Some of you will rebuild the deserted ruins of your cities. Then you will be known as a rebuilder of walls and a restorer of homes.
Keep the Sabbath day holy. Don't pursue your own interest on that day, but enjoy the Sabbath and speak of it with delight as the Lord's holy day. Honor the Sabbath and everything you do on that day, and don't follow your own desires or talk idly.
Then the Lord will be your delight. I will give you great honor and satisfy you with the inheritance I promised your ancestor, Jacob.

The Absolute Fast
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
In Your powerful name, I come before You today as I start on this absolute fast, seeking Your favor, strategic wisdom, and the courage to receive Your divine justice. Lord, You are the source of all wisdom and strength, and I humbly request Your guidance to navigate the challenges ahead.
I stand in the authority of Jesus Christ and rebuke the Spirit of Deception, the spirit of division, the spirit of fear, the spirit of pride, the spirit of greed, the spirit of addiction, the spirit of anger, and the spirit of witchcraft. I command these spirits and all the legions unmentioned to be bound in the name of Jesus. I declare that their influence over my actions, thoughts, and movements is now invalid, and their ears deaf to my life, and their mouths are mute from speaking against me.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I speak directly to these spirits: Leave my presence and obey the command of the Lord. I decree that you are now under my feet, for I am clothed with the armor of God — the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace upon my feet, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Holy Spirit, I invite Your presence to surround every aspect of my life. Let Your power move immediately over my situation, transforming it for Your glory. I declare that no weapon formed against me shall prosper and that every tongue that rises against me in judgment is condemned, for this is my heritage as a servant of the Lord.
I decree and declare peace, protection, and prosperity over my life. I command all demonic forces to recognize the authority I carry in Christ and to obey my words. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my life as it is in heaven.

Origin of Absolute Fast
Esther chose to fast to get divine support and guidance from God, before she approached King Ahasuerus.
This was a risky act, given that approaching the king without being summoned could result in her death!
The fast was a spiritual preparation, showing her dependence on God's intervention in this critical moment.
By fasting, Esther demonstrated humility, repentance, and a deep cry out for God's assistance as she prepared to intercede on behalf of her people, the Jews, to change Haman's plot against them. The fast was a community fast as well, involving all the Jews in Susa, symbolizing unity, faith, and a collective turning to God in a time of desperate need.

3 days and 3 nights
regarding timeframe
There is no scripture that says how long you need to be on a fast. You will know when to break the fast. In the word we learn that they personally knew when the fast was over. When it comes to your fast, you may not need 40 days and 40 nights. I believe that the timeframe is between you and God. Let the Holy Spirit guide you on the timeframe. And always make sure you check with God and your Holistic Doctor before starting any fast.

Esther 4:16
“Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I must die.”
