The Three Cats
Lola, Luna, and Pulguita are three cats. They like to play.
"I can run," said Lola.
"I can jump," said Luna.
"I can nap," said Pulguita.
The three cats go to the park. They see a big dog.
"Oh no!" said Lola.
"Look at that dog!" said Luna.
"I am not happy," said Pulguita.
The dog runs up to the cats.
"Do you want to play with me?" the dog said.
"No!" said Lola. She runs up a tree.
"No!" said Luna. She jumps in a bush.
"No!" said Pulguita. She sits down and takes a nap.
The dog looks at Pulguita.
"Why are you not running?" said the dog.
"I like to nap," said Pulguita. "Do you like to nap?"
"Yes!" said the dog. "I like to nap a lot!"
So the dog sits down next to Pulguita. They take a nap in the sun.
Lola looks down from the tree.
Luna looks out from the bush.
They see Pulguita and the dog napping.
"Look at that!" said Lola.
"Who is that dog?" said Luna.
"My name is Max," said the dog with a big yawn. "I just wanted some friends to nap with."
"Pulguita made a new friend," said Luna.
Lola and Luna come down. They sit with Pulguita and the dog.
All four take a big nap in the sun.
And that is what they like to do.
